If this is your first time joining Black Woman Vibes this is our mission statement: BLACK WOMAN VIBES FOCUSES ON EMPOWERMENT THROUGH RESOURCEFUL INFORMATIVE GUESTS, DATA DRIVEN PODCAST TOPICS AND EXCLUSIVE SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES THAT PROMOTE A SHARED EXPERIENCE OF BLACK WOMAN VIBES.

This podcast episode is about Empath. In this podcast episode we discuss empaths and evaluate if Black women are defining themselves as empaths because truly have a deep connection with other people's emotional energy or if they are trauma bonding. We also define what an empath is and what trauma bonding is. The purpose of this episode is not to disregard empaths but to self-analyze ourselves and our learned behaviors that enables our pattern of drawing in toxic people. What you want to hear, I deliver, so make sure you're an active member of the Black Woman Vibe's Tribe.

These are the five key points of Black Woman Vibes that listeners should take away from this episode:

1 Because you experience trauma doesn’t mean you’re an empath.

2 You cannot rewrite your victim story as the conqueror by trauma bonding. It is unhealthy.

Conflating empathy with mule-ship or sacrificing leaves Black women weaker and permanently damaged.

Establishing your agency and creating boundaries as an empath is necessary to protect yourself from energy vampires and toxic people.

5 Before you slap labels on yourself that you’ve read online, see a therapist. Get help to overcome your past trauma so you don’t trauma bond and call it empathy.

New episodes drop every Wednesdays by 2 pm EST on Libsyn, Spotify, Itunes, Stitcher SoundCloud as well as YouTube.
